The butthorn gene is definitely strong with this one. I decorated the tree last night, and while he was slow to take interest, Oscar has definitely noticed the new temptations. In addition to investigating the ornaments within his reach (the mostly indestructible ones), he’s realized there are lights.
Heaven help me if he starts to chew the bulbs. So far he just peers at them with great interest before rampaging off to his next toy murder. The bottom of the tree is ornament sparse since we decided to forego the delicate colored orbs this year. I’m going to look for some plastic ones that are harder to break on my next store run, so we’ll see how that goes. For now, we’re all happy with our tree.
