Yeah, I know, we kind of just stopped posting. Many things have been afoot in the Orks/Cats household. There’s no need to go crazy with details, but here’s the short version.
After a somewhat harrowing journey across the country in the early stages of the polar hellxpress, we made it to our new home in Southern California.

We have a wildly active new sourdough starter, but it’s still quite new. It might make bread, but let’s try something new and easier: Sourdough Crackers! Here’s the recipe and rundown!
My beloved starter is long gone and I never got around to making another. Last week, I decided to see if I could get one going again, and I thought it might be a worthwhile write up. Here we go: this is the Sourdough Saga, 2020.
It’s our favorite Hallow-day at the Landis home, Halloween! We didn’t go quite as all-out this year due to lots of work and a week of rain and freezing temperatures right before the big day, but we still got some decor out.
First, I upgraded the streaming setup at our home. Then, I upgraded the channel’s graphics and overlays. The final upgrade focuses on the most important element: the streamer. Me.
We spent a long weekend camping at the Texas Motor Speedway, watching our favorite Indycar drivers racing about at truly mind-boggling speeds. The trip had it all: severe weather, fast cars, hot women, semi-serious injury, and more rainbows than a two year old could count.
I’ve had the Oculus Quest for a week, and it’s time to talk about what I think of it. This kicks off a new series of posts about new technology, where I’ll revisit my thoughts several times over the item’s life cycle.
