We got a chance to take Udo back to the dog beach, so we made a day of it. He had the best time romping in the surf and making new friends.
At one point, he was resting in the shade of our beach shelter and a brindle-coated French bulldog ran in to say hi to him. His owner apologized and said, “What are you doing, running into that bear’s den?!” We had a good laugh about it and decided the shelter is now The Bear’s Den.
