As I flopped in the floor taking Nutter’s picture yesterday, Oscar sauntered in with a gift for me: his favorite grapevine, which he had stolen from the countertop the night before. Being a cat, he promptly stole it again after presenting it to me, but I was still touched. He doesn’t bring such gifts to just anyone.
Oscar has always been weirdly obsessed with grapevines. He carries them off in his craw every time we bring home fresh grapes. It’s so cutely bizarre, I’m not inclined to stop him. Long live the Grapevine King!
