Oscar loves to hunt and sees pretty much everything as prey: bugs, leaves, Udo, and most importantly, Stan. I caught him pre-pounce as Stan was lurking on the window sill. His singular focus is impressive, as is the complete carnage he can wreak upon the household. He’s our tiny, mighty hunter.

Oscar has deemed it too warm to flop in his afternoon sun patch today, so he’s chosen a random bit of dining room floor instead. I also tried to get a good shot of his belly floof, but Udo walked over to help and I ended up with failed blurry action shots. The cute is

Oscar took a break from rampaging today to observe the local squirrel activity and make sure they weren’t doing anything dodgy. He then jumped into one of my houseplants and we had to have another firm discussion about why he shouldn’t do that. It’s been quite a week.

The current weather could best be described as “gross,” so we’re all extra snuggy. As Oscar shows in today’s pic, it feels nice to be warm and dry. He appreciates laps and recliners more than any cat I’ve ever known, and he is not afraid to show it.

Oscar likes to rampage across the entire house when he really gets going, and nothing is safe. Not even our antique sewing machine, which caught his attention today for some mystifying reason. We took a break during chores today to have lunch and enjoy some kitten snugs. Oscar was happy to help, as always. He really likes to flop in my lap once I’ve put the vacuum away. It’s like celebratory snugs after the dreaded Hate Machine is defeated. Such a snugadon.
