Ride Report 3
I’m back with the Ride Report this week since the Ork had it covered last Sunday. We made immense progress today. Check it out!
I’m back with the Ride Report this week since the Ork had it covered last Sunday. We made immense progress today. Check it out!
Here’s the new Ride Report, plus a few other random updates. It’s posted late due to server issues, but yesterday was in fact Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY!
After last week’s post I made an executive decision to round up the ride reports and plop them into the Sunday verbings so my friends won’t disown me. We ride three days a week, so here are the reports from our most recent outings.
Tuesday
Temperature: 90 degrees
Wind Speeds: 15-20 mph
Humidity: 45% (Blargh)
Ride Status: 7.9 interval miles completed on stationary bike due to threatening weather making an outdoor ride no bueno
Thursday
Temperature: 94 degrees
Wind Speeds: 10-18 mph
Humidity: 52% (Dry Heave)
Ride Status: 9 miles completed with one short drink break at 5.2 miles
Sunday
Temperature: 80 degrees
Wind Speeds: 7-14 mph
Humidity: 70% (SRSLY?!)
Ride Status: 9 miles completed with one stop due to mechanical issues
My endurance is improving, especially in windy and humid conditions, so I feel like we’ll be in pretty good shape for the big ride next month.
In other progress news, now that the exercise routine is successfully reintegrated it’s time to focus on the cooking routine. Going back to an office-commute work situation during the week has worn me out, which means I’ve felt like cooking precisely zero lately. My focus is now on making it easier to cook so I’m less tempted to whine for burgers.
I’ll let you know how the cooking thing goes along with next week’s Ride Report. Everybody stay cool and hydrated!
It’s that time of year again! The Dehydrator is fast approaching and we’re gearing up to go increase our distance. Goal-setting, motivation, and ride reports, oh my!
You read an article about how easy it is to organize your life when you prioritize. You’re inspired, so you sit down to brain about your daily tasks and make a plan to accomplish more each day. Yeah! Then you realize the laundry is still in the washer, your life isn’t that simple, and you’re getting a headache. So, you abandon the braining and return to Netflix, because Downton Abbey. Oh wait, that’s me.
The last couple of weeks have been great, full of hard work and happy surprises. Here’s an update on recent happenings for the Ork and I.
I’ve been unusually busy lately. Haircuts, clothes shopping, and paperwork have filled the past couple of weeks due to a big change on the horizon. Here’s why I’ve been learning to get up at 5:00 a.m.
Uh-oh, now I’ve gone and done it: buzzed my melon. My new hair is a cross between Carol and V’GER, and I… I love it.
I am too brained out to focus today, so here’s a rundown of the current goings-on. Taxes, haircuts, and alarm clocks: should make for an interesting week.
Hair. It’s a big pain in the neck, especially for those of us afflicted with the naturally curly type. Read on for tales of questionable haircuts and spectacular bedhead.
